Walking On Water

4 Months old and 8kgs in weight (take no notice of new mum claiming I was 12kgs last week – that was a load of nonsense!)

I am such a clever little puppy – I even amaze myself at times. I recently discovered that I can swim. Well actually, I didn’t have a lot of choice in the matter – new dad took me into the sea with him and just let me go.

I tried to walk in the sea but my paws couldn’t touch the bottom. I did think of turning around and jumping onto new dad’s back with my sharp claws, but then thought better of it. So I just kept my eyes on the edge of the sea and kept walking, back to new mum. And that’s what they call swimming!

It’s more like walking on water though…

Me - like an Olympic swimmer!

Bedraggled - not my best look

Drying Off - complete with massage

Loving new dad's comfy chair - so now it's mine!

Archie loves water, until it reaches his ears. He goes mad once he’s wet, running around and throwing himself, upside down, on the floor to dry off, even when he’s been towel dried.

If Archie would like to guest blog – he is more than welcome. I’m sure he’s got a few tales to tell! Just like my cousin, Russell :-)

Wow look at you, well done! It seems that most dogs like swimming, but aren’t so keen on having a bath.
Uphilldowndale’s Spud likes the pond http://uphilldowndale.wordpress.com/2010/11/14/spud-on-sunday-ii/ but I think that I’d prefer the sea where you are! xx

    Hi Carlie,
I’m glad to make your acquaintence! It was nice of you to stop by my blog and I’ve certainly enjoyed the return visit. You sure are adoreable! Oh, one other thing- don’t wory about your coat shrinking after you swim. It won’t! It’s just one of the many advantages we canines have over humans.
