Walking On Water

4 Months old and 8kgs in weight (take no notice of new mum claiming I was 12kgs last week – that was a load of nonsense!)
I am such a clever little puppy – I even amaze myself at times. I recently discovered that I can swim. Well actually, I didn’t have a lot of choice in the matter – new dad took me into the sea with him and just let me go.
I tried to walk in the sea but my paws couldn’t touch the bottom. I did think of turning around and jumping onto new dad’s back with my sharp claws, but then thought better of it. So I just kept my eyes on the edge of the sea and kept walking, back to new mum. And that’s what they call swimming!
It’s more like walking on water though…

I am now 14 weeks old and new mum has just been told, by someone who knows their dogs properly, that I am in fact – a GIRL!
Phewee!! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to realise!
Even though the breeder had originally told new mum I was a bitch, she thought she’d misheard because, apparently, I look like a little boy down below.
How insulting..! I’m not sure whether to be offended at being called a bitch or at being mistaken for a boy.
It’s not that I minded being called Charlie, but I felt a right charlie when I was expected to cock my leg up and pee. So from now on my name is Carlie and my blog is renamed to Carlie’s Diary – but I don’t mind if you still call me Charlie.
Anyway, new mum should have known better – I’m far too pretty to be a boy.
